Indeed, this is not very beautiful. What is it??? It seems to be part of a construction. Funny, this decorated spring (it looks like a sppring) with currently no function. Looks so strange with this kind of steel construction.
There was a flag holder right below this. The thing on the top I believe is the finial that would go on top of the flag pole! This is sitting on an eye bolt that is probably there to hang some sort of decorations from. I will try to get a bigger picture of the place so you can get an idea of what this is!
