The back wall of the church had to come down today to make way for the State Fire Marshal’s investigation of last week’s early morning fire.

From the Chronicle: Someone broke into the church. Investigators are still investigating where the break-in happened and what caused the fire, which they have determined started in the basement in the southern part of the church.

From the Journal: So far, officials have been unable to determine whether the break-in immediately preceded the fire, or whether it took place a long time before, or happened after the fire, said fire marshal spokeswoman Lindsey Burnworth.
