I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this scene. At the time, people [including me] were chuckling and commenting on the guy on the bicycle.
When I described this photo to Ree, a forever Lorain 365er, she offered this perspective [and I paraphrase]:
‘Maybe the guy on the bicycle has always wanted to ride with a motorcycle group. He can’t afford a motorcycle, so he does the best he can with what he has.
What better time for a guy on a bicycle to ride with the motorcycles than a parade?’
You know what? I never considered that and the more I think about it, I’d like to think she’s right.
