A very special announcement for a very special event and night!
Please join the Lorain Palace Theater, the Lorain Historical Society, and the Lorain Public Library as we celebrate
Black History Month together in Lorain on Monday, February 15 at 6 PM with a FREE celebration that will include our entire community!
The Palace doors will open at 6 PM for a FREE showing of
the award-winning motion picture “Selma” at 7 PM!
The first one hundred viewers will receive a FREE small popcorn
courtesy of the Lorain Public Library Levy Committee!
A coming together of Lorain leaders – both public and private – will speak on a wide array of community togetherness and Lorain Black History. Including, but not limited to: Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, Mayor Chase Ritenauer, the Lorain Public Library’s Joanne Eldridge, the NAACP’s Jean Wrice and others starting around 6:15 PM followed by the showing of the wonderfully moving and brilliant “Selma” and the Palace’s REALLY BIG screen!
