“The Journal” newspaper in Lorain, on page 8, of the Tuesday, July 20, 1965 issue in the “Voice of the People” column is my letter to the editor “Preservation of Lighthouse Favored.”
I was 17 years old at the time and this was my first letter to the editor written and subsequently published. I remember being concerned that my lack of writing experience and limited vocabulary would be evident if I wrote and submitted such a letter, but I felt compelled to write and send one jsut the same. I am so glad that I did. Thank you.
