Recently, our friend and proprietor of The 530 Shop, Jani Oehlke, reached out on the FaceBook regarding the T.R. Bowen building on Broadway. The 1894 building’s most unique feature is the likeness of the original owner’s head on the front peak, over the name & date stones.
Jani had found photos of the building posted here in 2013 and was surprised to see that the building still existed. She had also discovered an Oehlke family connection to this building that dates back to 1897 when the address was 312 Broadway.
