What’s this???? Tar street with painted pavement on it? It can’t be real, because it’s too regular. And wathc the cracks! I have never seen something like this before. Kind of funny.
lol – I think that’s the most polite way I’ve even seen somebody say wtf? 😀
A few years ago, the city got a grant to do this to Broadway. So, they painted these crosswalks throughout downtown and stamped the street to look like bricks at various intersections and along the curbs for the parking spots. Then they came back through and painted the “bricks” red (green in the no parking zones and blue in the handicapped parking spots). It looked…nice…when it was first done, but with no $ or manpower to maintain it, well…
I’m with Georgia – WTF. I never understood why they did this to downtown and I still think it was a waste of money, grant money or not. There are so many roads that need repairs, to “beautify” the downtown streets, in MY opinion, was just stupid.
Well at least it’s very unusual. I really didn’t see this before. It took some tie until I noticed that the bricks were painted. At the first glance it were ordinary bricks, but something was wrong…
It’s not the way architects and town planners want the streets look like, because it’s fake. For me I can’t decide it because I never saw it in reality. And I am very suspicious how long the paint will stay.
