They look like salt domes in the area around the city building about 36th and Broadway/Elyria Ave (close guess?). Salt or whatever mixture they use on icy, snowy roads are in them and then they can scoop out large amounts with a loader and pour into the bed of the trucks.

Wow, I’ve never seen before salt domes. I wonder where they store all the salt her in German towns? I’ve never seen a special building for this. But perhaps our winters aren’t cold enough, so they don’t have to store such masses. Looks a bit like an Indian tent (?) / tipi (?) made from concrete. LOL.
I’m sure there is a name for these buildings, but I don’t know what it is.
These buildings are used to store road salt, I know that much. I just love the shape of these buildings!
