Muley is right. We had a bad storm that day and the water filled the underpass like nobody had even seen before. There was another guy already stuck in the underpass who had been able to get out of his car and on top of it. He tried to warn the couple to stop, but it was too late. He was able to get to safety but the water rose so fast that these folks weren’t even able to get out of their car. I noticed the new flowers and figured I had missed an anniversary.

What happened then to the couple? Did they die of an accident?

I believe they were killed when they drove into a flooded underpass after a heavy rain and drowned.
