So are those new blocks of letters that are up there? So sad to that no longer we see the name with Lorain on that building.

No, those are not new. That’s what was under the Lorain National Bank sign.

Great to see what was under the sign! I think wasn’t that National Bank of Commerce that merged with the Lorain Banking Company to be Lorain National Bank? I can remember when the Lorain Banking Company’s main office was on the corner of 6th and Broadway I believe and then it was moved to where it is on Broadway. So what is the new name going to be going up there?

Northwest Bank. This is the transition weekend. Monday is the start of a new era in Lorain banking.

So sad to see the change. I’ll never forget what my Great, Great Grandfather Charles Hahn (first president and co-founder) and his father George (first primary investor) started in 1905.
