Please join the Lorain Palace Theater, the Lorain Historical Society, and the Lorain Public Library as we celebrate
Black History Month together in Lorain on Monday, February 15 at 6 PM with a FREE celebration that will include our entire community!
The Palace doors will open at 6 PM for a FREE showing of
the award-winning motion picture “Selma” at 7 PM!
The first one hundred viewers will receive a FREE small popcorn
courtesy of the Lorain Public Library Levy Committee!
A coming together of Lorain leaders – both public and private – will speak on a wide array of community togetherness and Lorain Black History. Including, but not limited to: Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, Mayor Chase Ritenauer, the Lorain Public Library’s Joanne Eldridge, the NAACP’s Jean Wrice and others starting around 6:15 PM followed by the showing of the wonderfully moving and brilliant “Selma” on the Palace’s REALLY BIG screen!
