Wave of Light

We attended last night’s Wave of Light service in Elyria. This is the gathering that used to be held at Lakeview Park every October 15th. It has now been permanently moved to an indoor location [social hall] at New Bethel Fellowship Church, 720 E River Street in Elyria. The service was a beautiful tribute to the babies who left too soon.

From the Event Page: “October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Nearly 1 in 4 families suffers the unexpected and tragic loss of a pre-born or newborn baby during their lifetime. Each year, a special day is set aside to honor the memories of our lost children – October 15. In every part of the world, memorial services will be held, and candles will be lit at exactly 7:00 PM as a tribute to these lost lives, and our lost hopes and dreams. Join other local families and families all around the world as we remember our babies in a candle lighting ceremony.”

    1. You may have a Compassionate Friends or MISS Foundation group in your area that facilitates a public Wave of Light service. You can also participate privately at home by lighting a candle at 7pm every October 15th. Love you ❤
