Miss Victory’s 100th Birthday

A statue representing the goddess Nike [Victory], bearing a palm frond in her left hand and raising a sword with her right. She's the centerpiece of a small triangular shaped park marked by a large white capital letter V on the corner.

Today we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Miss Victory Peace Memorial. Located in Victory Park on the corner of West Erie Avenue and West 5th Street, this is where the city pays tribute to the local residents who served and died in World War I. -lisa
