This is one of those photos that I’ve been wanting to do a then/now post with, but the porch on that house is so destroyed now that I wouldn’t even attempt standing on it. The house you see in the reflection on the front door doesn’t exist anymore. Crystal Clear Cleaners and Fradley’s Garage used to be across the street.
Hi Tammy – thanks for stopping by Lorain 365! I don’t know if we have any pix of across the street ‘then’, but I’m searching for one. If you have any photos of your Aunt Karen’s house that you’d like to share, please email me at Lorain365[at]gmail[dot]com 🙂
114 W 27th St….the alley was kinda our driveway. do you remember Bob and Marsha Andrews ? they lived in the duplex next door (upstairs) to Brown’s funeral home. Marsha was Mom’s bff.
This photo is me standing on the front porch of that same duplex, the one between the funeral home and the NCR building. I don’t remember them, but maybe Mom would if the Andrews’ lived there sometime between 1967/68 and 1972.
yes, as best as I can recall, the Andrews’ did live there during the late 60’s and early 70’s. Mr A worked at the unemployment office and I believe Mrs. A was a stay at home mom. mind is a bit fuzzy for that was a long time ago and I was on another planet in those days.
Hi. Can you check out if 2715 Apple Avenue is still there? It should be near the old St. Stan’s church. That was the long time address of my maternal grandparents, Andrew and Josephine Zagorsky. Thank you.
Too cute.
